My name is Catherine (Cat) Dean, and I created this blog as a way to document and journal everything I do that's related to education! I started this blog in college as an elementary education major with minors in ESL and Spanish at NC State University. The most important things in my life are my faith, my family, and education.

Education is my passion and becoming a teacher has been my dream since I was in elementary school! One of my favorite quotes is by Henry Adams who once said, “A teacher affects eternity; he [or she] can never tell where his [or her] influence stops.” I love this quote because encompasses the reason I've always wanted to go into teaching. Teachers have the power to completely change lives. Their job is to encourage their students to love learning and teach them how to pursue their passions.  Some of the most motivational people in my life have been my teachers and they are the reason I decided to go into teaching myself. I want to have a positive impact on my students the same way they had a positive impact on me. I hope and pray that as a teacher, I can serve something greater than myself, inspire young students, leave a motivational legacy, and live a life of constant improvement.
