Dr. Seuss Day - with therapy dog

Today my mom and I made our second trip to Riverside Christian Academy, but this time we brought someone else along with us. Our dog Cheeto is a therapy dog, and he goes to nursing homes, libraries, and schools to visit people and make them smile. Today he went with us so that we could teach the students how to care for a dog since they had just read Dr. Seuss’s book “I’ll Teach My Dog 100 Words”. My mom brushed Cheeto’s teeth, showed off his clothes, gave him water from a doggie bottle, had him do some tricks, brushed him, and let the students pet him. Then, I read three Dr. Seuss books to the students on the carpet and asked them questions about the books afterwards.

We had a blast in Mrs. Tiffany’s classroom for Dr. Seuss day, and the students absolutely loved Cheeto! Thank you Riverside Christian Academy and Mrs. Tiffany for letting us visit! We can’t wait to go back again!
