Communication Styles Discussion

On February 22, 2021 I attended a Communication Style Discussion led by Jeremy Lea. During this discussion, we learned about four different communication styles - analytical, driving, amiable, and expressive. Then, we took a quiz to see which one of the styles best suits us. This was my favorite part of the discussion because I love learning about my own personality and the way my mind works. This helps me identify my strengths and areas that I need to work on to be a better version of myself. I ended up getting even scores for analytical, amiable, and expressive which I thought was pretty interesting. That also helped me realize that it is most difficult for me to work with people with a driving communication style. Jeremy Lea went over all the strengths and challenges of each of the four categories and then we answered a couple discussion questions in breakout rooms that helped us reflect on what we learned. This event did not only help me understand the way I communicate but also the way other people communicate as well which makes me feel more comfortable working with others.
