Global Perspectives Video and Discussion with Dr. Chris Barnes

On April 26, 2021, I attended a Zoom meeting with other Teaching Fellows at NC State where we watched a video about the NC State European Center in Prague and the Czech Education System in general. While I don’t plan on studying in Prague, I enjoyed learning about how education there is so different from how it is in the United States. I plan on studying abroad at some point during my time at NC State and possibly doing my student teaching abroad, so this video only got me more excited to be able to do this. After the video,  Dr. Chris Barnes, an Onslow County Principal, led a questions and answer discussion with all of the Teaching Fellows. The most helpful part of the discussion for me was when he talked about how principals hire students and gave us tips for interviewing for teaching positions.
